Stay tuned to hear more about our curated studio pop-up exhibit at the artists’ studio, featuring Shigaraki ware and other work created by John and Susanne which show the influences they brought home from their time in Japan. This studio exhibit celebrates the gentle touches, marks, and natural imperfections the Stephenson’s encountered in the Shigaraki ceramic community and brought home with them to impart to their own craft. Shigaraki influence has shifted over time but is ever-present in John and Susanne’s work with clay.
